Hamburger Parmesan Recipe

Hamburger Parmesan Recipe

A delicious Italian-inspired twist on a classic hamburger, perfect for dinner or a special treat!

Ingredients

For the burgers:

1 lb ground beef (form into 4 patties)

2 large eggs

1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs

Olive oil (for cooking)

Toppings and sauce:

Fresh mozzarella (sliced)

1 cup chunky homemade red sauce (or your favorite marinara)

Fresh basil (chopped or whole leaves)

Garlic (for the buns, optional)

For the buns:

4 sourdough buns

Butter or olive oil (for toasting)

Optional side:

Chilled pasta salad (your favorite recipe)

Instructions

1. Prep the patties:

Form your ground beef into 4 evenly-sized patties. Keep them slightly thin for better breading and cooking.

Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk until smooth.

Place seasoned breadcrumbs into a separate bowl.

2. Bread the patties:

Dip each patty into the whisked eggs, ensuring they’re evenly coated.

Next, press the patties into the breadcrumbs, coating both sides thoroughly.

3. Cook the patties:

Heat a griddle or skillet (like a Blackstone) to medium-high heat. Add a light drizzle of olive oil to prevent sticking.

Cook the patties until golden brown and crispy on one side (about 3-4 minutes). Flip them over to cook the other side.

4. Add toppings:

Once flipped, top each patty with fresh basil, a dollop of red sauce, and a slice of fresh mozzarella. Cover the grill or pan with a lid to melt the cheese and heat the sauce.

5. Toast the buns:

Slice the sourdough buns in half and lightly brush them with olive oil or butter. Sprinkle with minced garlic for extra flavor. Toast on the griddle until golden brown.

6. Assemble the burgers:

Spread a little red sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun.

Place a cheesy, saucy patty on top, then finish with the top half of the bun.

7. Serve and enjoy:

Serve the Hamburger Parmesan burgers immediately with a side of chilled pasta salad for a complete meal
