Warm Crab Dip

Warm crab dip is a creamy, savory appetizer typically made with crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise or sour cream, and cheese, seasoned with ingredients like garlic, Old Bay, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. It’s baked or heated until hot and bubbly and usually served with crackers, bread, or vegetables for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese plus a little for topping
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning adjust to taste
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced
  • 8 oz lump crab meat picked over for shells

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mayo, soy sauce, Old Bay, and green onions until smooth.
  • Gently fold in crab and ¾ cup of the cheese.
  • Spread into a small baking dish and top with the remaining cheese.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
  • Serve hot with crackers, crostini, or toasted baguette slices.

🧀 Alternative Uses
 
Crab Rangoon filling – wrap small spoonfuls in wonton wrappers and fry or air fry.
 
Stuffed mushrooms – fill mushroom caps with the mixture, top with cheese, and bake.
